2027 Astrology Calendar: Every Key Date of the Year

The Complete 2027 Timeline

Winter: The Slow Start (January – March)

• January 10Mars stations retrograde at 10°26′ Virgo. Eighty-two days of redirected effort begin. Projects started now tend to be restarted later; projects revisited now tend to succeed.
• February 6Annular solar eclipse at 17°38′ Aquarius. A ring of fire lasting 7m51s at maximum, crossing Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil before reaching Africa. On the North Node — the year’s clearest invitation to begin.
• February 6Chinese New Year opens the Year of the Fire Goat.
• February 8Uranus stations direct in Gemini. Technology, transport and communication stories that stalled in late 2026 start moving again.
• Feb 9 – Mar 3Mercury retrograde, Pisces → Aquarius. Starts at 5°59′ Pisces, ends at 20°55′ Aquarius. Intuition and logic disagree; write things down.
• February 20Penumbral lunar eclipse at 2°05′ Virgo. A quiet culmination around work, health and daily systems.
• February 21Retrograde Mars backs into Leo. The review moves from method to motive — from how you are doing it to why.
• March 20March equinox, 20:24 UTC. The astrological new year begins as the Sun enters Aries — joining Saturn and Neptune already there.

Spring: The Engine Starts (April – June)

• April 1Mars stations direct at 20°55′ Leo. Drive returns. Everything postponed since January can now move.
• April 3Jupiter trine Saturn, 17° Leo – 17° Aries. Expansion and structure in rare agreement. The best aspect of the first half of the year for building something that lasts.
• April 12–13Jupiter stations direct at 17° Leo. Four months of internal growth turn outward.
• May 8Pluto stations retrograde at 7°10′ Aquarius. Five months of collective and personal excavation begin.
• June 6–7Uranus sextile Neptune, ~6° Gemini – 6° Aries. The third pass of a rare, slow, quietly inventive aspect: new technology in service of an old ideal.
• Jun 10 – Jul 4Mercury retrograde, Cancer → Gemini. Starts at 6°22′ Cancer, ends at 27°28′ Gemini. Home, family and old messages come back for a second reading.
• June 15Uranus trine Pluto, 6°52′ Gemini – 6°52′ Aquarius. Structural change that finally moves with the grain instead of against it.
• June 21June solstice, 14:11 UTC.
• June 28Neptune sextile Pluto (3rd pass). A generational undercurrent — vision and power in a workable relationship.

Summer: The Handover and the Eclipse (July – September)

• July 9Neptune stations retrograde at ~6°40′ Aries. Five months of dissolving whatever was more image than substance.
• July 11Jupiter trine Saturn, 27° Leo – 27° Aries. The final pass. Anything begun on April 3 gets its confirmation now.
• July 18Penumbral lunar eclipse at 25°49′ Capricorn. Astronomically the faintest event of the year — a near-miss at magnitude 0.0014 — but astrologically a small closing note on career and authority.
• July 26Jupiter enters Virgo. The only planetary sign change of 2027. Growth stops belonging to the boldest and starts belonging to the most useful. Jupiter stays in Virgo into 2028.
• August 2Total solar eclipse at 9°55′ Leo — 6 minutes 23 seconds of totality. The longest total solar eclipse visible from land until 2114, crossing Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt (Luxor sees the maximum, around 1pm local), the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Somalia. On the South Node: an eclipse of completion.
• August 9Saturn stations retrograde at 27°53′ Aries. Four and a half months of reviewing the commitments made since Saturn entered Aries in 2026.
• August 17Penumbral lunar eclipse at 24°12′ Aquarius. The third and last eclipse on the Leo–Aquarius axis this year, close to the North Node.
• September 10Jupiter square Uranus, 9°57′ Virgo – 9°57′ Gemini. The year’s most disruptive aspect: sudden opportunity that will not wait for a plan.
• September 15Uranus stations retrograde at ~9°57′ Gemini.
• September 23September equinox, 06:02 UTC.

Autumn and Winter: Consolidation (October – December)

• Oct 7 – Oct 28Mercury retrograde, Scorpio → Libra. Starts at 4°55′ Scorpio, ends at 19°18′ Libra. Shared money, contracts and the fairness of an arrangement all get re-read. The shortest of the year’s three windows.
• October 16Neptune sextile Pluto (4th pass), ~4° Aries – 4° Aquarius.
• October 17Pluto stations direct at 4°45′ Aquarius.
• November 16Pluto conjunct the North Node at 4° Aquarius. A rare, precise meeting of transformation and destination — the most quietly significant date in the second half of 2027.
• December 15Neptune stations direct at ~1°43′ Aries. Clarity returns to whatever went foggy in July.
• December 22December solstice, 02:43 UTC.
• December 23Saturn stations direct at 21°01′ Aries. The year ends with the planet of structure moving forward — 2028 starts with momentum.

2027 Retrogrades at a Glance

The headline absence: Venus — love, money and value — does not retrograde at all in 2027. The last window closed on November 13, 2026 and the next opens in May 2028.

2027 Eclipses at a Glance

Three of the five land on the Leo–Aquarius axis, because the lunar nodes sit there for the whole of 2027. That is what gives the year its shape: a February beginning in Aquarius, an August ending in Leo, and an August 17 echo that tells you which of the two the year actually chose.

Which Dates Actually Matter

Not every entry above deserves equal attention. Ranked by how much of the year they explain: July 26 (Jupiter into Virgo) resets the second half; August 2 (total solar eclipse in Leo) is the single most consequential day of 2027; January 10 – April 1 (Mars retrograde) explains why the year feels slow before it feels fast; and April 3 and July 11 (Jupiter trine Saturn) are the two days worth building something on.

Where sources disagreed by a day — usually because one publishes in Eastern Time and the other in UTC — the UTC date is given. Minor aspects that appeared in only one source were left off this page entirely.
